Dual means that it supports both Ant+ and Bluetooth concurrently and also can support two Bluetooth devices concurrently. Many bicyclists have lots of devices they want their chest straps to communicate with and this can talk
Q: Does this strap transmit running metrics also such as cadence,vertical oscillation and stride length?
The strap only transmits heart rate.
Q: What type of battery? And can the battery be easily replaced after it dies?
A #2031 (round) battery, and yes this is an easy job - just remove the battery by twisting the cap on inside of the plastic part of the strap, pull the old battery out and insert the new battery.
Q: What is ant+ mean?
Just another form of wireless communication. Some exercise equipment will use ANT+ and show your heart rate on the device. I have a Bowflex Max Trainer - the heart rate monitor will work to my Garmin Approach S60 and the Max Trainer at the same time.
Q: Is this compatible with iPhone ?
Yes, this HRM is bluetooth compatible.
Q: Do I have to disconnect the sensor from the strap to save battery
Of course, you must disconnect the sensor from the strap when you finish training and also to wash the strap
